OUR STORY
Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, INSS founder Dora Fyfe experienced firsthand how sports can transform a young person’s life. Finding opportunities to train and practice in a more tranquil environment away from the city gave her space to grow, reflect, and focus on something purposeful and grounding. That experience not only shaped her as an athlete but also as a person — teaching her the value of discipline, resilience, and community.
Through her travels and experience in coaching and judging on both the national and international level, Dora saw how powerful sport can be when paired with the right guidance and support. As a co-owner of Pike Dive Academy in Newark, she witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by young athletes in inner-city environments — talented, determined kids who simply needed access, encouragement, and direction to reach their potential.
These experiences inspired Dora to create International and National Sport Support (INSS) — a program dedicated to giving children and families in these communities the same opportunities, mentorship, and support that shaped her own journey.
Through INSS, Dora continues to guide young athletes in developing not only their personal and athletic growth but also in pursuing collegiate and NCAA opportunities, helping them take the next step toward education, competition, and lifelong success.
Her vision is to help young athletes not only grow in sport but also develop the life skills and confidence to thrive far beyond it.
OUR MISSION
At INSS, our mission is to empower young athletes to grow through sport. Our hope is for them to build confidence, character, and lifelong skills both on and off the field. We are dedicated to supporting children and athletes from underserved communities by providing access to training, mentorship, and family support that foster discipline, teamwork, and a sense of belonging. Beyond athletics, we guide athletes through life’s transitions, offering emotional and psychological support as they move from their sport into the real world. We believe that developing the person behind the athlete is just as important as developing their athletic ability.
Through the generosity of our community and partners, INSS opens doors for children and families, creating opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive — both in sport and in life.
